The Amarte Story
The meaning of the Amarte icon
The word amarte precisely translated means ‘to love you’. The Amarte icon is two interwoven hearts in harmony expressing Amarte’s motto - ‘Love yourself. Love your skin.’ The Amarte icon also symbolizes Amarte’s unique pedigree… the inter-connection of different cultures.
Amarte is a real world collaborative effort between skin care scientists and artists in the Far Eastern world (Seoul) and the modernized Western world. The symbiosis of these two cultural traditions has created a skin care phenomenon more precious than either culture might be able to produce in isolation.
The Amarte icon also represents the inter-connection of two ages of enlightenment – ancient Eastern wisdom dating back many centuries – and recent scientific innovation. From the ancients Amarte internalized certain expertise – on herbs, extracts, natural elements – and combined it with many innovations from our modern age – among them nano-technology, peptides and retinol – to produce an offering that strives to be better than the sum of its parts – Amarte’s committed effort to loving oneself and one’s skin through truly innovative skin care.
The Amarte flower emerges as the Amarte double heart icons interlock…representing a unique expression of Amarte’s philosophy. In one sense the Amarte flower symbolizes love that grows with each step of the typical Amarte regimen – cleansing, hydration, moisturization and protection. On a more profound and symbolic level, the Amarte flower embodies the four main principles of Amarte’s skin loving philosophy…. enjoyment, enhancement, rejuvenation and protection.
